Stéphane Ducatteau

Stéphane Ducatteau est né le 3 octobre 1970 à Croix (59). Il vit et travaille en Normandie (France).

De formation initiale scientifique (ingénieur) il a suivi plusieurs années de cours du soir aux ateliers des beaux-arts de la ville de Paris CAP de ferronnerie d’art (dessin, peinture, modelage, travail du verre…).

Artiste créateur de mobilier contemporain, Stéphane Ducatteau travaille essentiellement la feuille de métal.

Le mobilier est pour lui le support au développement d’une certaine esthétique. Son approche du meuble est résolument tournée vers la sculpture. La volupté et l’ergonomie des courbes qu’il façonne engendrent émotion et sensualité.

Le métal prend des allures d’ébène grâce aux patines que Stéphane utilise avec brio. Chaque pièce est réalisée de façon unique avec la rigueur et la maîtrise du ferronnier d’art.
